Memoir of the New CEO of YDS: From Inventory Assistant to the Top Seat

My journey at YDS has been a long and rewarding one, filled with twists and turns that have shaped me into the person I am today. As I take on my new role as CEO of this great company, I am grateful for the opportunities that have led me here and excited about the challenges ahead.

I joined YDS as an inventory assistant, fresh out of college and eager to learn about the business world. From the beginning, I was impressed by the company's culture of innovation and collaboration. Even in my entry-level position, I was immediately accepted by the team and felt like my ideas and opinions were valued and that I had the support I needed to succeed.

As I gained experience and proved myself as a capable employee, I was given the chance to take on new roles within the company. I moved to the sales team, where I learned the art of persuasion and the importance of building strong relationships with customers.

I spent time in procurement due to my understanding of our customer base. I gained a deep understanding of the supply chain and the importance of efficient sourcing.

Eventually, I was promoted to inventory manager, responsible for ensuring that our warehouses were stocked with the right products at the right time and orders are delivered to customers on time. It was a challenging role that required me to work closely with multiple departments. But I loved the complexity of the job and the opportunity to make a real impact on the company's bottom line.

As YDS continued to grow, I was given the chance to take on even greater responsibilities due to my deep understanding of the company’s culture. I served as assistant HR, helping to recruit and retain the best talent in the industry.

But perhaps the most significant moment in my YDS journey came when I was promoted to COO. As second-in-command, I was responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's operations, from finance to marketing to logistics. It was a challenging and demanding role, but one that allowed me to fully understand how every part of the business fit together. We recorded alot of successes from strong improvement in Revenue, Market share and business growth rate.

I want to take this opportunity to praise my team, both the ones here and those that have left. Without their hard work, dedication, and creativity, YDS would not be where it is today. I have been fortunate to work with some of the best and brightest minds in the industry, and I am excited to continue to collaborate with them in my new role.

I also want to acknowledge the help and mentoring of the outgoing CEO. She taught me so much about the industry and about what it takes to be a great leader. She always had an open-door policy and was willing to listen to my ideas, no matter how outlandish they seemed at the time. I will always be eternal grateful for her guidance and support.

As I begin my tenure as CEO, I am excited about the future of YDS. We have a talented and dedicated team, a loyal customer base, and a strong track record of success. Together, we will continue to innovate, to grow, and to make a positive impact on the world.
